As I was learning about how things work in the Universe and how I could have anything I want in life one of the factors that kept popping up was the Law of Attraction. Now, I know what you are thinking, more of that New Agey mumbo jumbo. I know because I felt the same way. I'm not going to get into some big discussion about the Law of Attraction but I wanted to point out something that was brought out to me that I have used daily to achieve goals, learn new things, and bring more abundance into my life .....and maybe it will work for you too. Gotta know it to try it, right?
Now, to be honest, I was interested in the quirky mysteries of quantum physics a long time before I knew about the Law of Attraction. One of the assumptions that quantum physics made those years ago, that has now come to be a scientifically proven fact, is that everything is energy. Everything we see or think is made of energy. Now, leaving out anything to do with the Law of Attraction, this is a pretty interesting fact. What I mean by that is, like a floodlight flashing on in my thoughts, I finally understood why we can have anything we want in life. Anything we desire. Do you see it yet?
If everything is energy, interacting to create the physical reality that we see, well, then....we are already connected to all the things we want! All the things we can dream, think, say, want, need are already part of our reality...eveything is part of us...and we are part of everything.
"Okay, Rick so what?" You ask, and rightfully so. Here is something they don't teach in the Law of Attraction or any of those "secrets of the Universe". This is just a plain fact of common Newtonian physics. Energy interacts with energy. When energy mingles it does not lose power...it becomes stronger and moves toward more energy of the same complexity. We call that a frequency but it is not necessary to know that. What IS important is that when these energies interact they move toward each other. So, every minute that a want or need is in your thoughts and you follow that with the action to get it you are moving toward it BUT it is also moving toward you...seeking you out....looking across the energy universe trying to find you. How do we make the connection? Thoughts and action. Our whole reality is created from thoughts and actions. It is not enough to just have the thought but our actions create waves of energy pushing us along it's tide and bringing that which is seeking us closer. Look at what you are trying to achieve in your life right now! How's that working out for you? Are you making the connection? Thoughts and actions.
I'd like to come back and touch on this subject more at a later date. For now I will close with a question: Want something great in your life? Think new thoughts and take action...it will come to you as sure as you are moving toward it. Guaranteed.

A million Ideas!
Student: Rick, are you a millionaire?
Me: No, do you think that is important to be successful?
Student: Well, you teach success but have not made a million dollars. How can someone believe in what you do?
Me: I don't want them to believe in what I do, I want them to believe in what THEY do.
Student: But you are not rich.
Me: I am rich. You asked if I was a millionaire.
Student: But how can you be rich if you don't have a lot of money?
Me: Because I get everything I want.
Student: You don't want to be a millionaire?
Me: Why do I need to be a millionaire if I get everything I want. No I don't want to be a millionaire.
Student: So, what is being successful?
Me: Understanding WHAT you want and getting it.
Student: But if you had a million dollars you could get what you want faster.
Me: Could I? I don't think so because getting what I want does not depend on money but rather on me focusing on what I want and going after it.
Student: How so?
Me: I fully believe the speed at which something comes into my life is directly related to how strong my intent and persistent my action is within and without..
Student: But isn't money needed to buy "things".
Me: No, ideas with intent and action are needed to acquire things.
Student: But money is important, right?
Me: Money is a tool. One tool in many. Let me put it plainly so you can see. If I had a million dollars I could only buy so many things before the cash ran out, right?
Student: I guess. Yes, that's right.
Me: But I would never run out of ideas and intent or action, right?
Student: Hummm, right. That's right.
Me: Then I would rather have a million ideas with intent and action than a million dollars.
Student: Oh, I see now!
Me: As Obi-wan Kenobi said, "You have just taken your first step into a larger world."
Dreams are wishes with action behind them. Dream big, then go make the dream real. Anyone can do it - even me.
Me: No, do you think that is important to be successful?

What Were You Thinking?
Have you ever walked away from a situation where, like a diamond bullet hitting your brain, you realize that, you walked away from an opportunity. You are saying to yourself, "Why didn't I do this or that and I could have really taken advantage of this situation". I think this has happened to all of us. Why did we not see the opportunity? Why were we not aware?
When we are feeling good in a situation our mindset changes such that we let down our guard, so to speak, and open ourselves to thinking through our emtions rather than our active mind. Now thinking through your feelings is not a bad thing but we also must keep our active mind aware.
When I was a car salesman, many years ago, and struggling with getting sales, an old salesman, that had been at the dealership for 25 years, came up to me one day and said, "I see your problem. You are giving them too much information and not enough emotion." I was taken aback a bit, but, to be honest, I had no idea what he was talking about. He said," Give the customer enough information to make a decision to buy and then make them feel good enough that they can give themselves permission to buy." Then I understood. I realized that when we feel good we begin to justify buying in order to keep that feeling. So why did I go down this long and raggled example?
Many opportunities cross our paths daily which can help us build success and wealth, but, at times we are too involved with the feelings of the situation to see them. The best way to begin keeping our active mind in the game and catch those opportunities is to look at each situation as a leaning exercise. Let me give you an example.
Recently I went to meet with a friend to talk about a possible fishing trip. I thought to myself before leaving, "What opportunity can I bring out of today's meeting?" As we sat and talked I kept focused on having a good time but listening and looking for an opportunity. Soon, I realized that my friend had extended knowledge of fishing and especially fishing with live bait. He talked about each bait he used for various species of fish and BINGO, the light went on! Here sitting before me was a possible ebook on live bait fishing! So, near the end of our visit, I asked him would he mind if I sat and interviewed him about his fishing techniques and he was agreeable. I don't know where this will go yet but I have grasped the opportunity.
The lesson is: we live in a world of opportunity. It is everywhere! The difference between success and mediocrity is whether we grasp these opportunities or let them go with the flow and looking back ask, "What was I thinking?"

What Now?
Okay, another blog on being successful right? NO WAY! If you think I am the run of the mill average success guru type, boy are you in for a surprise! First, I do not believe in the "money is the key to success" formula. Do I think money is important in being successful? Yes, but it is just a tool - an important tool - but not the only tool. I believe that the most important key to being successful is living a life that is abundant in ALL areas.
In the next blog or two I will tell you a bit of what brought me to this point in time and this place. I, never in a million years, would have considered myself some kind of success teacher and as we go through the next few weeks I will explain to you how this all came about.
I will tell you that I live a great life! I am grateful for everything and everyone in it! I get everything I want - yes, everything! AND I am going to work with you and show you how you can get everything you want also. No, this is not some hype on selling the next best product or supporting some feel good program. This is nuts and bolts success in all areas of your life. So, SUBSCIBE will ya? If you do subscribe I will send you a free Korean Cookbook with a ton of great recipes in it!
Until next time!
Rick
